Keeping to Her Dream---the Story of a “Sunny girl” Named Jiang Jinjin

“I would crawl step by step….until one day I could have the sky belonging to myself”, a line of lyric cited from “snail”, vividly depicted a sunny girl-Jiang Jinjin, the student of Finance in Continuing Educational College. She is less than 1.3meters tall, which makes her quite noticeable among people. But with a big smile, she is always confident and is welcomed as the “sunny girl”.

She comes from a poor family.  Her younger brother studied in a different town.  Her mother is sick and her father is an ordinary worker who struggled to serve her college. She is a student never wants to lose. She always tries hard as twice as much of others about fulfilling a task. Faced with others strange eyesight, she is always confident and unyielding. In the exam for entrance of colleges in 2008, she did not perform well, and felt sad. Yet, she did not give up, and came to our college for further study. In the military training, she stood in the back of the row, and disciplined herself according to the requirements of a real soldier when being trained under hot weather. What she tried did finally pay off and she was awarded the best learner in the “Appraisal Meeting”. She illustrated her willingness through actions.

Concerning study, she made full use of time to work hard at the assignments. At work, she diligently takes on her duties to assist the adviser to deal with the class. In life, she got on well with the students, easy-going and worshiped the plainness. She was honest and did some part-time jobs in the spare time without disturbing her study. On vacations, she waited at the restaurant, promoted the goods of Siemens, and helped the elderly voluntarily. With all these experiences, she trained herself and reduced the family burdens, and paid the tuition by herself. She valued time and arranged every minute carefully, and felt happy and filled though tired. In her words, “because I have to work hard, make money hard, and repay the society hard, help each person needed. I am the example of my brother, and I have to set the example correctly, at college, the ordinary me, could never be allowed to be common, and I have to compete for the best and be the example other classmates.

   No pains, no gains. Under the care of leaders, advisers, her integrated qualities have been highly improved. Growing from an innocent girl, she becomes an optimistic girl, whose attitude and strong will inspire a person’s potential. She actively cooperated with the college to carry out various activities and served hard for the students and was praised by classmates. She drawed the conclusions of four year college life as “nothing to regret, cause I was busy everyday; nothing to be ashamed of, cause I did not idle any second.”

The sunny girl, JiangJinjin, worked at Jiangsu University with her youth, enthusiasm, and sweat, which won her many awards: 2008---2009 social work of Jiangsu University; 2010-2011, the honor of the “Three Good" student Academy; now she is a candidate for Chinese communist party.

  She will keep smiling and smile under the sunshine vividly.
