Notes of the Meeting on Corresponding Teaching Stations of Continual College

From May 14^th to 16^th, continual college held the meeting on corresponding teaching stations. Vice principal, Song Yuqing, deputy director of the Education Department of Jiangsu Province, Jin Guibao, leaders of Continual College and responsible people of all sections attended the meeting. 70representatives from 35 corresponding teaching points showed up, too. The whole meeting was hosted by Hua Yinqun, dean of continual college.

At the meeting, Yu Xuqin addressed on behalf of all the leaders of the university, and he introduced the general information of Jiangsu University, made an important speech about the adult education of Jiangsu University under current situation. Deputy Director, Jin Guibao, interpreted how continuing education should keep up with modernization of education, emphasizing that higher education should do well in two kinds of service, one is the service of national strategic demands, anther one is the service of students’ service. We should apply technical means, reform corresponding education, normalize management, keep the bottom line of educational quality; Dean, Hua Yinqun continued to deliver concrete requirements about the general plans and major tasks of continual college.

Deputy Dean, ZongBo- jun, made the work report titled, “Deepen the Interior Construction, Promote the Reform and Creativity, Realize the New Breakthrough of Adult Education”. Shi Jianhua, dean of registration sector, introduced the arrangement of the recruitment and student membership, Wu Chuanjiang of tele-education and technological service section, introduced the internet management platform, Wang Jianguo, dean of degree education sector made the theme speech titled “Ideas of corresponding teaching through telecommunication”.

During the meeting, members were classified into three groups of provincial group, out of province group and medicine group. Corresponding teaching points made lots of constructive opinions towards continual college. The college also studied the problems on May 21^st and took effective measures to solve them immediately.

The Seminar reached an agreement on recruitment, management, corresponding teaching through telecommunication, which were drawn conclusions as follows,

1.     To know the requirements of “emphasizing both pattern and quality, normalizing and promoting the telecommunication teaching”.

2.     To reach an agreement on the informational means. College would invest more into the promotion of teaching courseware and improve the internet platform; corresponding teaching points should promote the application of internet courseware and give students more chances to learn on the internet.

3.     Further regulate the recruitment and forbid the agency intervention, the off-teaching points schooling, and the allopatry schooling. To charge the tuition under the national standards.

4.     To strictly follow the teaching plans, strengthen the process management, improve teaching quality, and spur the adult higher education.

5.     To emphasize the management of files and let staff member of different level  take charge of it

6.     As for the fixed teaching course, actively apply the text edited by Jiangsu University and give instructions to teaching levels of different teaching points.

7.     To stick to the teaching evaluation system and prepare for the previous work of 2014, attend to the regulation and mixed usage of internet learning with corresponding teaching.
